Isn't there something sort of Western saloon about this outfit? A sort of Western witch? Or is it just me? Either way, here is an outfit! For the first time in what seems like an age! Who knows, I might actually start posting reguarly again one day, one can only hope. I have lots of things I want to share with you guys, so I'm going to make an effort. I'm thinking of doing a post a lot like my Choker Collection one, but with my wig collection instead. Speaking of wigs, this is one I bought from a UK wig company a while back for a play I was in, but recently re-did the fringe, since my first attempt was poor. I really like how it turned it, and it's one of the few wigs I own which I think looks okay without any kind of hair accessory, my others usually need a hat or something to look more natural...in a wiggy way.
I'm also crazy about that maxi cardigan, Boohoo sell it in a pastel blue and a pastel pink...I'm tempted to get another one, the only thing I would say is it's really long - it touches the floor when I'm not wearing heels and I'm 5'9", so for more averagely heighted females it may be a little too long. Anyway, I really love this outfit, someone called me Morticia Adams, which I think is constantly the goal - classy, witchy, gothic. It's definitely one of my quieter looks and when I was staring at the photos, editing them, I started craving brighter wigs and make up.
In other news, I'm planning on moving out with two of my friends, which is ridiculously exciting and has started my on the path of home decor...lord help me, I already found it hard enough not to spend money on a million beautiful things but goodness, now I have gorgeous storage and display items to resist. Take a wild guess at what my next wishlist might entail. Although I'm really loving the idea of refining my current collection of curiosities and reordering them in more pleasing ways...even if my room will be small, I'm determined to make every square inch count!
P.S. sorry about the awkward photo editing...still working on that!

Outfit of the Day ~ ghost princess.

Lace skater dress ~ ASOS
Floral spiked choker ~Lustful Doll
Name necklace ~ Black Heart Creatives
Crochet tights ~ New Look
Heeled boots ~ New Look

What's that? I'm only wearing one item of black?! A primarily light coloured co-ord? I'm letting the goth team down!
I wore this outfit to visit a babe of a friend in Croydon - I say babe of a friend, but really we're soul mates. Like the same person in different bodies. I intend on taking some outfit photos at her house at some point because it is full of so much cool, beautiful junk, I feel like the world has to see it. Either way, I haven't worn this dress in ages, but I have done an outfit with it before, ages ago, when it was actually fitted - now the elastic has degraded pretty badly, and I've lost weight, so it's sort of a loose fit, but luckily it still works. I don't think I could bring myself to throw this baby out yet.
This is basically me attempting to channel my inner pastel goth, with a dash of white witch, although I kind of wish I'd worn a body harness with it - I feel like that would have been the black icing on my pastel gothic cake. I love the combination of my custom 'Ghost' necklace from Black Heart Creatives, along with the adorable clear vinyl choker for Lustful Doll - just a massive fan of transparent plastic at the moment, apparently. You'll probably be seeing a lot more of those boots as well; they're the perfect height where walking in them for extended periods of time isn't painful but they still look awesome. They've replaced my previous witchy boots for sure and I've seen loads of other people; friends, strangers, bloggers wearing them too. Well done New Look!
My hair has faded pretty damn well too, especially the blue, which I was expecting to be the worst. This is one and a half months of fade (see it fresh here) - my roots are looking pretty bad but I'm trying to ignore it. When (or if) I re-dye it, I think I'll have less pink, that's the colour that has faded less well, I'm not a fan of the coral orange it has become.
Excuse the weird background - I'm still figuring out a good place to take photos, but I think I'm steadily getting better...right?? At least with the better weather we're having I can worry less about bad lighting. Apart from that I am currently working my arse off to finish uni - writing two 2000 word essays, then a second 6000 word dissertation and finally revising for 11.5 hours worth of exams. Oh the joys of education!

Outfit of the Day ~ technicoloured vamp.

Burnt out velvet blouse ~ Vintage
Cut out bodycon dress ~ H&M
Spiked choker ~ Creepyyeha
Crochet tights ~ ASOS
O-ring wedges ~ ASOS
Hair ~ all mine!

I had so much fun shooting this outfit! It was in the venue section of a pub near where I live, but never visited. We added in some props in the background (including the beginnings of my moth collection) but that beaut of a chair and fireplace were just there for the taking. This shoot was done with a new photographer, who's using me for camera practise, you'll be seeing more of his photos (of me) soon.
I am eternally in love with my Creepyyeha collar - it is perfection. The kind of thing I've been drooling over for at least a year and now I have one and it is beauteous and I am pleased. Now I just want everything else she has to offer. I've also had that dress for a while, I've been wanting to share it with you guys for ages - the first super bodycon dress I've bought; it's really tight and quite short but I actually really love it. The basic cage detail around the ribs is great and it's just generally a really flattering shape, I think. Well done H&M, as ever, you continue to impress me. And of course there's my new hair! This was a day after I dyed it, these photos don't show just how vibrant it is, so go here to marvel at dem colourz.
In real life news, tonight I'm auditioning for another play (a really cool adaptation of Jane Austen's Emma), and the other play I'm currently rehearsing opens next week. Lots of theatre things, which is the way I like it! And you know, my completely unrelated degree is going fine too.

Outfit of the Day ~ PVC pin up.

Qozmos Lo platforms ~ Cute To The Core
Lace crop top ~ Primark
Wig ~ Geisha Wigs (Goth)
Flower ~ H&M

Oh my lord! I love PVC! I love PVC! Have I mentioned I love PVC? It looks so killer! It's a bit of a pain to get into, granted; I've bought the same skirt in black and I think I've nearly ripped the material near the zip due to strenuous tugging (I will weep tears when it finally breaks...I've only worn it like three times - is that worth complaining about?). Other downsides include the fact that although it hugs my thighs, it's loose around my waist, and belts don't look so cute. I'm not sure how easy PVC is to take in? But despite all this I still love this skirt, and I got it with 20% off, huzzah! I'm so into the fact it's baby pink too and I'm just generally obsessed with how the material moves and creases under tension. Excuse me whilst I go into this corner and caress my PVC.
I wore this outfit to see some of my babes in a play (the RSC's script adaptation of Beauty and the Beast), which turned out pretty dreadful, but entertaining in how bad it was...and my babes were very good in it, of course. Unfortunately I was late, and I had to run (read: waddle) to the theatre, without time to change into my platforms (one can't drive in approx. 8cm flatforms safely). However, this might have turned out to be a blessing since it turns it is even more of a challenge to move around with the combined effect of skin tight skirt and platforms - I don't make life easy for myself, but I still love this outfit.
I was trying a different set up for these photos, but the light sucks...I might have to invest in some lighting - good god. Or maybe actually use my camera properly. You know, one or the other. Either way, bear with me whilst I figure it all out.
So question: have you ever worn an outfit that is totally impractical but loved it anyway?

Outfit of the Day ~ All Black Everything.

Key-hole top ~ Necessary Evil via Kate's Clothing

Rolled brim pork pie hat ~ Primark
Purple lipstick ~ Kontrol by Illamasqua

Today's is a simple outfit I wore to see a filming of Coriolanus (the one with Tom Hiddleston in it) with some of my babes. I received the top the day before having bought it from the Kate's Clothing reverse auction sale for like £11 (it's down to £8.60 now - dammit!), which is awesome. It's ridiculously comfy and I love how long the sleeves are. I feel kind of guilty that one of the very rare outfits I proffer up to you guys is all black, but hopefully there's enough going on for it not to be boring to you. I am also crazy about these flatforms - they may look a little curious in some of the photos (I think I look like a flamingo at points) but I kind of love being so much taller sometimes, and one of my friends accidental told me I look like a model, I'm not letting her forget that. I'm contemplating customising them a bit - maybe be-jewelling the soles, since there's such a massive expanse of black to play with. People keep on mistaking my fake facial piercings for real ones which pretty much makes my day every time and as much as I would love real piercings there's something endlessly satisfying about being able to change their position and colour and number so easily.
Other than that, I am resentful at the British winter for not giving me any snow but also glad the uni is ever so slightly less hectic now. I've been doing a massive clear out of my room which may sound mundane but is genuinely so therapeutic - it feels like shedding an old skin. I'll be selling a bunch of stuff on ebay eventually.

Outfit of the Day ~ candyfloss witch.

 Latex harness ~ VanityCage
Flower ~ H&M
Lace up dress ~ ASOS
Suspender tights ~ Missguided
Creepers ~ New Look
Rhapsody wig ~ Gothic Lolita Wigs
Floral crown ~ handmade by my sweet babe Charley

Look! An outfit! I've finally done an outfit! It's been so long! We have my beautiful friend Charley to thank for that, we went shopping in Brighton the other day and she was awesome enough to take some photos for me. However I did choose an awkward outfit to photograph, I don't know if it's visible on other screens but that dress has a cute little lace up section at the top and tights have a cool cross at the top too. So well done me for that. The lovely lady in Kate & Aud (a really sweet Vintage shop that I frequent, which can be found online here) was kind enough to let us take photos upstairs.
I'm really happy I've finally done an outfit with this wig! It was the first wig I ever bought and it was a bit overwhelming to begin with since it's so big and voluminous but I've gotten used to it now, and it's so pretty! Another thing I hadn't done in a while was my fake piercings - I genuinely love how real they look and since the fact I want to act means I have to minimise any face holes it's the perfect solution. That and I can change my piercings way easier than my legit pierced friends.
And finally I think we should all admire my gorgeous new body harness. I've been searching ages for the perfect one and in the end I contacted Sophie from Vanity Cage and asked her if she could do a custom order for me, which she was more than willing to do - she even sketched ideas for me, which was awesome! I will do another outfit later where you can see what lies underneath (there are two straps that sit under my bust) - I really love it! And I am pleased with my temporary addition of a flower to match my wig.
In terms of life, nothing much new to report. I finish my Christmas temp. job in just over 3 weeks and I have my first half dissertation due in January (although I have to do all my data analysis by Wednesday which is inducing some level of panic in me). I haven't made any Christmas cards yet which sucks! I haven't bought all my presents or wrapped any of the ones I do have, so I'm pretty behind on all aspects of life really. Never fear, I will catch up!
How is everyone finding the winter season? I'm loving all the leaves falling at the moment.

Outfit of the Day ~ victorian vampire.

Chiffon dress ~ french market
High neck top ~ F&F
Crochet tights ~ ASOS
Wedge boots ~ ASOS
Amber bracelet ~ Past Time
Cross bracelet ~ ASOS
Purple lipstick ~ 'Kontrol' by Illamasqua

(Not to be mistaken for Vintage Vampires...I'm so good at with thinking up names sometimes.)
If only I had added some cute black lace gloves then I would have been the perfect baby vamp, but then that might have been overkill. I also had my hair cut a bit more and I think it's now ever so slightly too short, but it's fine, it'll be back to normal in like a week. I haven't worn this dress in ages, mainly 'cause I didn't like the fact it didn't have any sleeves, but adding another high neck top underneath it not only adds sleeves for warmth but also a bit of extra ruffle to the neck.
I am currently sick as a dog (potentially an exaggeration) and rehearsing for my play, which starts in a week and a half, but as always, I'm annoyingly busy and poor bloggy is suffering as a result. I've also just gotten a part time Christmas temp job at The Entertainer, which is a chain of toy stores in the UK. I can only imagine it's going to be vaguely nightmarish, considering the potential for children having tantrums and stressed out parents around Christmas time. Fortunately I start next month so I have time to finish my play...however, when I do start I will have to start balancing the job (20 hours a week), my uni work and my third year project.
I also had to say no to going to a fashion show with some friends this Saturday due to a one off waitressing job at a wedding, I am so sad! But I need the money to go towards some acting classes I'm about to start taking so little sacrifices and all that.
