Lust List ~ ASOS, Killstar & Etsy!

pastel goth winter spring wishlist fashion alternative gothic bird crow skull impulse cosmetics agent x lipstick ASOS t-bar cute cut out shoes killstar synthetic dreads dreadlocks dreadfalls
I cannot get over the combination of floral print and stars and general goth perfection that this jumper is. I've been gazing at this baby for a while, but I just can't justify it. I'm trying to be thrifty at the moment - god help me.

And yet another deviation from my standard...maybe? I'm planning on dreading one of my wigs pretty soon and during my search around I found this Etsy shop which does gorgeous looking dreadlocks and falls. Their colour choices are perfect and their prices super reasonable so look out for when I inevitably buy from them and blog about it.
I need a new backpack and this one is so cute. Legit love that print so much! Would much rather have it on a bag than an item of clothing (which is also an option on Killstar). Good size too.

Isn't it amazing how realistic this looks? It's probably a good idea it's resin instead of the real thing, since I feel like I would easily break an actual skull. Ah man, bird skulls are cool.

Bit of a change in direction, I grant you, but Spring is on its way and I am still majorly into pastels. I am on the verge of buying these. They also come in pastel pink and even I was surprised by how much I wanted them...more than the black ones. What's going on?

HOW PERFECT IS THIS GREEN? UUUGGGGGHHHHHH!

I feel like at the moment my style is evolving a bit, it makes shopping really confusing...I'm not really sure what is exactly me, or what direction I want to go in, hence why this wishlist is a little varied. Either way, it hasn't stopped the fact that I want to spend all the monies! I'm so excited to finish uni so I can do some proper experimenting and stuff!

Freshly Dyed Hair ~ rainbow warrior.

hair dye dyed hair pink hair purple hair blue hair directions la riche crazy color hair dye ombre hair gradient rainbow peacock cool hair inspiration short hair
Hair dye used:
Crazy Color in Cyclamen
Crazy Color in Capri Blue
La Riche Directions in Plum
Crazy Color Bubblegum Blue

I've christened it: unicorn vomit but a stranger at the theatre was squeezing past me and said "excuse me, rainbow warrior" and that is the best thing.
I finally dyed my hair again! Finally! It feels like ages since my galaxy rainbow hair. This was more of a sudden decision since after I finish uni and start looking for acting jobs in earnest, I can't have unnatural hair any more. My ever patient, ever wonderful BFF1 and BFF2 did this glorious explosion of colour for me. As ever, bleaching was a pain...literally. I did two lifts using 40vol...dear god, did it burn the second time. Every time I dye my hair I ignore how horrible the bleaching bit is, and every time I realise I really shouldn't use such strong bleach directly on my scalp. I can feel the scabs developing already (I know, glamorous).
Originally I used Crazy Color in Bubblegum Blue on my shaven section but went over it with the Capri Blue. These photos were taken after one wash and there's hardly any fade. The pink runs the most, followed by the purple. The blue barely runs but I also know it will be the quickest to fade. The pros of having short hair is that I can easily touch up on any dodgy fading, but I am excited to see how it looks when it goes a bit more pastel.

Outfit of the Day ~ PVC pin up.

Qozmos Lo platforms ~ Cute To The Core
Lace crop top ~ Primark
Wig ~ Geisha Wigs (Goth)
Flower ~ H&M

Oh my lord! I love PVC! I love PVC! Have I mentioned I love PVC? It looks so killer! It's a bit of a pain to get into, granted; I've bought the same skirt in black and I think I've nearly ripped the material near the zip due to strenuous tugging (I will weep tears when it finally breaks...I've only worn it like three times - is that worth complaining about?). Other downsides include the fact that although it hugs my thighs, it's loose around my waist, and belts don't look so cute. I'm not sure how easy PVC is to take in? But despite all this I still love this skirt, and I got it with 20% off, huzzah! I'm so into the fact it's baby pink too and I'm just generally obsessed with how the material moves and creases under tension. Excuse me whilst I go into this corner and caress my PVC.
I wore this outfit to see some of my babes in a play (the RSC's script adaptation of Beauty and the Beast), which turned out pretty dreadful, but entertaining in how bad it was...and my babes were very good in it, of course. Unfortunately I was late, and I had to run (read: waddle) to the theatre, without time to change into my platforms (one can't drive in approx. 8cm flatforms safely). However, this might have turned out to be a blessing since it turns it is even more of a challenge to move around with the combined effect of skin tight skirt and platforms - I don't make life easy for myself, but I still love this outfit.
I was trying a different set up for these photos, but the light sucks...I might have to invest in some lighting - good god. Or maybe actually use my camera properly. You know, one or the other. Either way, bear with me whilst I figure it all out.
So question: have you ever worn an outfit that is totally impractical but loved it anyway?

Face of the Day ~ rockabilly pixie.

Wee! New wig! And it was only like £9 from the old eBay. I bought it (as well as another that hasn't arrived yet) as a reward to myself for finishing my final year dissertation at uni. I was worried about looking like an Oompa Loompa, but I think it's alright! Loving the colour (fulfilling my green dream) so very much. There was already some kind of fringe present but I cut it properly myself, it probably could do with some refining but I'm pleased I didn't completely screw it up. I am also much preferring shorter wigs at the moment, maybe because they're more practical, and since I'm rehearsing a lot at the moment I can't really be wearing massive poofy wigs. My love for face dots is ever growing, be them drawn or stuck on. I've only just started braving those on the forehead...for whatever reason it seems like more of statement than those just around my eyes.

Today's is a simple outfit I wore to see a filming of Coriolanus (the one with Tom Hiddleston in it) with some of my babes. I received the top the day before having bought it from the Kate's Clothing reverse auction sale for like £11 (it's down to £8.60 now - dammit!), which is awesome. It's ridiculously comfy and I love how long the sleeves are. I feel kind of guilty that one of the very rare outfits I proffer up to you guys is all black, but hopefully there's enough going on for it not to be boring to you. I am also crazy about these flatforms - they may look a little curious in some of the photos (I think I look like a flamingo at points) but I kind of love being so much taller sometimes, and one of my friends accidental told me I look like a model, I'm not letting her forget that. I'm contemplating customising them a bit - maybe be-jewelling the soles, since there's such a massive expanse of black to play with. People keep on mistaking my fake facial piercings for real ones which pretty much makes my day every time and as much as I would love real piercings there's something endlessly satisfying about being able to change their position and colour and number so easily.
Other than that, I am resentful at the British winter for not giving me any snow but also glad the uni is ever so slightly less hectic now. I've been doing a massive clear out of my room which may sound mundane but is genuinely so therapeutic - it feels like shedding an old skin. I'll be selling a bunch of stuff on ebay eventually.
