Plastic Fantastic ~ Etsy Special, Part 2

Earlier this month I did a post focusing on all the amazing laser cut acrylic jewellery that can be found on Etsy. I couldn't fit everything I wanted to into one post and to be honest I've got so many more I want to share with you but I've decided to limit myself to two posts. Here is the second part full of imaginative, cute, affordable piece.
Hello, You! ~ Star Pendant, £4.46
I like how slightly witchy this is without relying on vaguely controversial symbols. Plus I'm just massive fan of stars anyway. It's also available in wood which is really nice and it's so cheap you don't really have a reason not to buy it.

Japanophile UK ~ Cherry Blossom Necklace, £5.99
I always like finding interesting uses or effect with laser cut acrylic and I think this is such a lovely, subtle piece, including that elegant curve.

Szmoon ~ Sin Kitten Necklace, £12.74
There's something so ridiculous and adorable about this silhouetted satanic kitten. I kind of sort of need it.

Didepux ~ Radiant Mermaid Necklace, £10.68
This effect is so pretty and I've been in a mermaid kind of mood recently (I blame the turquoise hair). It's also kind of Fairykei Decora style wise, which I like. I also really really like this mermaid as well, it's in a very pretty frosted acrylic. It was hard to pick which one to show but I've also featured something from the same shop at the bottom. Other word necklaces I like are this cute "Lolita" one and this glittery "Cute" one which is so cheap (£5.00) and in the currently super popular dripping font.

Gemmipop ~ Goldfish brooch, £6.00
I'd seen these brooches at a local shop in Brighton before so I thought it was cool to see them on Etsy too! They're so cute and affordable. I also really like the swan as well. If you prefer necklaces I found this really simple, really cheap (£4.00) little bat one.

Sarah Keyes Jewelley ~ Skeleton Key Necklace, £16.11
I know I already featured this shop in the last post but they have so much good stuff I had to show you one more thing. I love this design so much! Like the one from before it's subtle and elegant, which can be difficult with a potentially cheap looking medium like acrylic.

Finest Imaginary ~ Golden Apple Necklace, £7.10
Check out this fairytale Snow White-esque necklace, available in red as well! In an odd way I find it kind of dreamy. They also do a cute teapot design that I bought BFF1 for Christmas - I chose the wooden option.

C.A.B Fayre ~ Octopus Ink Splatter Necklace, £18.04
I really like how interesting the texture is on this is (although if you prefer it comes in plain colours) and octopuses are just cool really. I like it in brooch form too.

I'm Your Present ~ Custom Necklace, £11.54
I've come across a lot of custom name necklaces (like the ones from Tatty Devine but much cheaper) and I think this one is my favourite. They offer a lot of cool fonts and colours, my favourite colour is the 'radiant' effect one, these cool inverted cross earrings are in the same effect. If you're looking for other cool custom name/word necklaces I would also recommend emiko - they do loads of different fonts, including the ever popular 'creepy/horror' font.

So, that's it from my forage into Etsy's laser cut acrylic jewellery and I've come up with a few too many beauties that I now need.
What were your favourites? Found any others I missed?

Outfit of the Day ~ little green birds.

Sewing machine necklace ~ gift
Ditsy floral shift dress ~ H&M
Noah's arch bracelet ~ And Mary via Ollie & Nic (gift)
Over the knee socks ~ Primark
Creepers ~ ebay
Chunky knit cardigan ~ New Look

I've applied for a job at New Look and I am so impatient to find out if I'm even in the runnings for it, I've temped for them loads before but it would be super awesome to actually work there permanently. Plus, the store is like a 10 minute walk from where I'll be living (with the boyfriend) so I cannot think of a more perfect situation. I'm hoping I get it or else I will probably have to wait to dye my hair in case future employers aren't happy with it. I'm also starting my 2nd year of uni soon and I'm really excited for that as well!
We did this outfit during the last burst of summer, apparently things are looking to get colder now. We went to a nearby graveyard, although it's actually called the Peace Garden which is such a lovely name. Whilst we were walking around we saw a kid and his grandparents picking blackberries and later on there was a cluster of tree where there were loads of little birds flitting about in really close proximity to me. Peace Garden felt like a fitting name. There were some really old graves as well where trees had started growing sort of in them and it was really pretty how the wood and the stone had integrated.
The other week I went camping with some of my friends and it was kind of really lovely, the times before we've found glow worms and watched a meteor showes but this time we just chilled round the fire, played music and chilled. One of my friends has given up drinking for a bit and I think it had a good influence on everyone, now it's getting colder we have to say good bye to the little wood where we stay for a while.
As for this outfit, although it was too hot to wear it I wanted to show you the cardigan. I recently got it from the New Look on Oxford and I think it is just the most perfect shade of forest green and it's so soft and comfy. I also decided to take out BFF1's birthday presents to me out for a spin, they're freaking cute!

I Put Some New Shoes On And Suddenly Everything Is Right.

Today's post is going to be short and sweet. I thought I would share with you one of my most recent purchases. I was browsing the ASOS sale the other day when I came across these beauties. I put them in my "Save For Later" section and when I checked a day later it was showing Low Stock which is not surprising considering these were £26 down from originally being £89 so I bought them asap.
Underground are a legendary brand for creepers (along with TUK and Demonia) so I was pretty damn happy that I got them and that when they arrived they were the right size. I wasn't sure if I was going to keep them however since they are just so green and my foot wear rarely veers far from black. However considering how gorgeous the quality of them is I decided to keep them, especially considering how terrible my other creepers are. I got those from ebay a few months ago and they are already falling very much apart, whereas these ones have a lovely weight to them, the insides feel nice and outers are actually suede.
The suede thing is both a good and a bad thing - it's good because suede is a great quality material but it's bad because it's a pain to look after and I've noticed already they get easily marked. Considering the every day torture my shoes go through I might have to be a bit more careful with these guys.
Either way, I'm glad I kept them, not only do they challenge my style a little bit I'd never be able to afford such great shoes normally. So yay!

Have you made any purchases recently that were total bargains? And have you got a favourite brand of creeper?

Plastic Fantastic ~ Etsy Special, part 1

It's been a pretty little while since I've done an Etsy Special but I have found some stuff I really want to share with you! If you follow me on the Twitters (@L_Figment) then you'll know that one of my (many) current obsessions is laser cut acrylic jewellery. I currently have these moon & star earrings and this wing necklace which isn't much really but after browsing Etsy for many hours I have found about a million things I would love to add to my collection. One of the massive pluses that I have found with this sort of jewellery is that usually it is pretty damn inexpensive! Another reason to love it! In fact there are so many things I love that I had to split this post into two parts.
I hope you enjoy and let me know any of your own favourite items/shops!

Elizajay Charm ~ Initial Monogram Necklace, £9.03
This necklace can be custom made to the initials of your choice. There are so many different styles (I really like their simple typewriter initial necklaces as well) and loads of lovely gift and weddings ideas. I cannot get over how beautiful they are!

Little Paper Forest ~ Circus Bear Charm, £6.45
Do I even need to justify including this? So. Freaking. Adorable.

Didepux ~ Glitter Cloud Necklace, £13.01
Aah! How cute is this!? I love love love glitter acrylic and this design is just perfect, just look at those little lightning bolts! If you prefer a less glittery version there is this one. This shop has loads of great stuff, I highly recommend browsing it.

Laser Cut Jewelry ~ Engraved Heart Earrings, £6.42
I think this is a really unique way of using acrylic, I like how subtle and sweet these are.

Sarah Keyes Jewellery ~ Black Dragonfly Pendant, £20.65
I cannot tell you how much I love this shop, everything in it is simple and beautiful. It was hard choosing only a few things to feature but I think these stunning dragonfly wings are my favourite - it doesn't help that I am so into butterflies/moths/things with wings at the moment.

Rock Cakes ~ Hello Necklace, £13.55
There are a lot of different 'word' necklaces you can get but I thought this one stood out because of it's cute, handwritten vibe. I wish they did a 'Good Morning'!

If you hadn't noticed, inverted crosses are everywhere, hopefully you don't find them offensive - personally I really like them for some reason (I like this simple glittery one as well). I think this necklace does a good job of making a potentially sombre symbol a little more cute, and if you feel like to rosary beads are a step too far there's a plain chain option as well.

Even though I wouldn't wear them special mention goes to this washing line necklace (so quirky), this unique cuff which is a totally different way of using laser cut acrylic and this cute as hell little face.

Outfit of the Day ~ whisper of smoke.

 Blue wedges ~ ASOS
Chiffon maxi skirt ~ New Look
Skinny belt ~ ASOS
Lace dress (used as top) ~ New Look
Wing necklace ~ Tatty Devine (gift)
Cross bracelet ~ ASOS
Assorted rings ~ gifts
Bowler hat ~ New Look

I really like this outfit! I wore it when I went into town to give in CVs, unfortunately the stupid sun decide to show it's face and I got massively hot - damn me for always wearing black. The lace dress is really freaking short on it's own and highlights my thigh dimples like no other so I like using it as a top, and I have finally found something to put with my chiffon skirt, I love it so much but I just couldn't find the perfect partner for it (although I'm thinking this would like great with it too *drool*).
As for life, the last performance of the play I was in (Pride & Prejudice) has been and gone and it's always such a bittersweet feeling, on one hand I'm glad it's over because doing a show is exhausting and seeing anyone every day can get a little taxing (apart from the BFF1, who was never taxing and always up for singing at the top of our lungs after every single show) but on the other hand everyone was so fun and lovely and I probably won't see a lot of them again.
Apart from that I am slowly warming up for going back to uni, doing some background reading and moving more stuff into my boyfriend's house where I'll be living during term time since it's a blesséd 5 minutes walk from the station, unlike my house which is an unreliable bus journey away. I'm also picking up my driving lessons again, even though I dread the cost of it all once I've finally passed.
On a side note I lost 2 followers the other day, which always breaks my heart, although I shouldn't take it so personally I do. What would be useful would be to know why, you know? So I could improve my content.

So, I think that's all for now.
Are any of you gearing up for uni? What degree/year are you in?
