Review ~ Custom Name Necklace.

Unless you live under a rock (or don't have an interest in cute, customised accessories) then you've probably heard of Tatty Devine's name necklaces; you choose your word, your colour and finish for the acrylic and your chain (plus some other stuff you can add). I love the idea but I am so not up for paying the price, so I went on a search for some cool alternatives. During my search I came across Black Heart Creatives. They specialise in laser-cut acrylic jewellery with a feisty (warning: swear words) twist; I point you in the direction of this adorable "F**k" brooch and these brilliant "F**k You" heart earrings. They also do custom orders; not only necklaces but if you can imagine it, they will try and make it for you. Charlotte of Black Heart Creatives was kind enough to allow me to design a custom name necklace of my choosing. I went for "Ghost" in clear plastic in the font Lobster.

This normally would cost £10, compared to the Tatty Devine equivalent (without any extras) which would have been £27.50. That's a pretty big difference considering they're very similar products and both from the UK. Both offer different fonts; Black Heart Creatives offers four and Tatty Devine has five, and both offer add on charms (have a look at the BHC custom gallery for examples) and choice in the colour of chain. I'd say the only slight difference is that Tatty Devine has a few more finishes to offer, but both have normal, glitter and mirror effects. And I love this necklace! Seriously! The plastic is slightly frosted which is good because I was afraid the necklace might be a little too transparent and not actually be easily seen, but the effect is pretty and subtle so if you're not into big and bold this is a great option. It's also a lovely size; not too big, not too small. There's a cute little heart charm with Black Heart Creative's initials. It's little details like that that feel really pro. Not only that but Charlotte has been kind enough to give you guys a
25% off code: "Angel25"
which means a name necklace like mine would only cost you £7.50! Which is just ridiculous and awesome!
Here's just a little bonus photo of what it looks like worn, but look out for it in an outfit post soon.

Custom Create Your Own Wig ~ Sweet Soul Shop.

I like wigs. A lot. They're such a great alternative to dying hair and as someone who is constantly indecisive about length and colour, they're perfect. I've got around 8 at the moment and my collection is ever growing, so I'm always on the look out for something cool, that reflects my tastes, as opposed the the very 'cosplay' wigs you can get. I've had dyed Cruella style hair before and I love the split look, but the usually colour combinations on offer with split wigs really don't appeal to me, or if they do the big lolita style pig tails and curls really put me off - it works for some people but not for me. However, I found that Sweet Soul Shop has a super unique service that I personally have not seen anywhere else; they offer a flexible "Create Your Own Wig" service where you can choose length, style and which two tone wig you would like, with a pretty big range of colours.

And in Step 3, you can even chose the style of the fringe (or 'bangs') as either sweeping or full. I personally prefer a full fringe but I'm pretty afraid of cutting them myself so I think this is a really great addition. I also really like the length option - these sorts of wigs are usually way too long for me, but I hate having to cut them; often it ruins the feathered out finish the wig comes with and also I feel like I'm wasting my money, so the fact the different lengths have different prices is great. The prices themselves are so reasonable too, in terms of pounds, short is between £21.02 to £24.02, medium is £30.04 and long is £36.05. These prices are on a par to Gothic Lolita Wigs and the extra customisable options means I think they are way better value for money.

I kind of have an obsession with colour combinations so I doodled a few different styles of wig I would absolutely love to have and how I'd style them; pastel goth anyone? This is probably all just fuel to the inevitable purchasing of one of these babies. If you are tempted to buy one then the people of Sweet Soul Shop were gorgeous enough to give me a discount code to offer you. Just enter "GoodMorningAngel" and you can get 10% off any orders over $50 (that's around £30.07) - meaning a long wig would only cost you £32.45. That's pretty damn good. They also sell loads of adorable lolita and cult party fashion.
Let me know which combination of options you would go for!

Outfit of the Day ~ technicoloured vamp.

Burnt out velvet blouse ~ Vintage
Cut out bodycon dress ~ H&M
Spiked choker ~ Creepyyeha
Crochet tights ~ ASOS
O-ring wedges ~ ASOS
Hair ~ all mine!

I had so much fun shooting this outfit! It was in the venue section of a pub near where I live, but never visited. We added in some props in the background (including the beginnings of my moth collection) but that beaut of a chair and fireplace were just there for the taking. This shoot was done with a new photographer, who's using me for camera practise, you'll be seeing more of his photos (of me) soon.
I am eternally in love with my Creepyyeha collar - it is perfection. The kind of thing I've been drooling over for at least a year and now I have one and it is beauteous and I am pleased. Now I just want everything else she has to offer. I've also had that dress for a while, I've been wanting to share it with you guys for ages - the first super bodycon dress I've bought; it's really tight and quite short but I actually really love it. The basic cage detail around the ribs is great and it's just generally a really flattering shape, I think. Well done H&M, as ever, you continue to impress me. And of course there's my new hair! This was a day after I dyed it, these photos don't show just how vibrant it is, so go here to marvel at dem colourz.
In real life news, tonight I'm auditioning for another play (a really cool adaptation of Jane Austen's Emma), and the other play I'm currently rehearsing opens next week. Lots of theatre things, which is the way I like it! And you know, my completely unrelated degree is going fine too.
